1What it is
The Hague Apostille certifies that a Brazilian public document is authentic, so it is accepted in countries that are party to the Apostille Convention, such as Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and the United States.
The apostille is issued by a Brazilian registry office and can be delivered electronically (PDF), with online verification. We handle it all: document check, an updated certificate when needed, the apostille and delivery.
2Who can apply
- Anyone presenting Brazilian documents in another country
- People applying for citizenship, residence, a visa or marriage abroad
- People getting a diploma or transcript recognised outside Brazil
- Companies and professionals with powers of attorney or court documents for use abroad
3Documents you need
- The document to be apostilled (original, or digital with a verifiable e-signature)
- The country where it will be used and the purpose
- Recent certificates, when the receiving office sets an issue-date limit
- Signature notarisation, for private documents (statements, contracts)

- 3Apostille at the registry
The document is apostilled at an authorised Brazilian registry.
- 4Delivery

5Timeframe · How much it costs
Usually one of our fastest services. The exact time depends on the document (and whether a new certificate is needed) and is given in the review.
You get our quote before any work starts. Official fees, registry charges and translations, when needed, are charged separately according to each office’s tables.
Brazilian registry offices authorised to issue the Hague Apostille. You do not need to travel to Brazil.
The apostille is only valid in Hague Convention countries. For other countries the route is consular legalisation; we tell you which one applies.
6Questions about this service
Is a PDF apostille accepted?
The electronic apostille is valid and the receiving office can verify it online. If they require paper, we send the physical copy.
Which documents can be apostilled?
Brazilian public documents: civil registry certificates, diplomas and transcripts, court documents, public deeds and powers of attorney, plus private documents with a notarised signature.
Does the translation need an apostille too?
It depends on the country. Some accept a sworn translation made in Brazil and apostilled; others require a local translation. We tell you the right route.
My certificate is old. Will it do?
Many foreign offices ask for recently issued certificates. When that is the case, we order an updated certificate before the apostille.
